- Support I agree, however, with Kallerna about the colours, but it is the time of year - unless you happen to get either brilliant sunshine or sunrise / sunset, we are lumbered with poorer colours. This picture is true to life, and shows the real colours of the bare trees. (An aside on colours, snow reflects the colour of the available light - just try some close-ups while wearing a high-visibility yellow jacket.
