2.5 million

[edit]

The 2.5 million image mark is fast approaching. Do we have any plans for the occasion? Superm401 - Talk 17:26, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

21 Million

[edit]

The 21 Million Files Milestone is missing. Is there any way to find out when and which image it was? -- Michael F. Schönitzer 21:46, 20 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

First files

[edit]

See previous dicussions: Commons:Village pump/Archive/2008/02#The first image at Commons?, ..., Commons:Village pump/Copyright/Archive/2016/01#15.wikipedia.org and https://www.facebook.com/gpaumier/posts/10154157729588475 (!) --.js[democracy needed] 10:47, 18 January 2016 (UTC) (expanded 21:06, 28 February 2016 (UTC))[reply]

[edit]

Interested parties, note that a recent MediaWiki settings change has resulted in both main-namespace gallery pages and "File:" pages being counted as "content pages" (as reported at, say, Special:Statistics). Please see Commons:Village pump#Should content pages consist of galleries only or also include File pages? and reply there if desired. - dcljr (talk) 05:03, 21 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Is it impossible or difficult to determine which file was at a milestone?

[edit]

Most of them don't have a file listed, but it seems like something that would be somewhat useful and interesting to document. I don't know much about the technical side of mediawiki or commons and the only page numbering system I know is the page ID, which exists on every page in every namespace and I don't even know if it is actually sequential. I suppose if it is a separate table of every single page could be made but that probably wouldn't be interesting to very many people. DogsRNice (talk) 20:30, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
