Description
English: The Statue of Unity is the world's tallest statue with a height of 182 metres (597 ft). It is a colossal statue of Indian statesman and independence activist Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (1875–1950) who was the first Home minister of India and the chief adherent of Mahatma Gandhi during the non-violent Indian Independence movement; highly respected for his leadership in uniting the 562 princely states of India to form the single large Union of India. It is located on a river island facing the Sardar Sarovar Dam on river Narmada in Kevadiya colony, 100 kilometres (62 mi) southeast of the city of Vadodara, Gujarat, India.
ગુજરાતી: સ્ટેચ્યુ ઓફ યુનિટીએ વિશ્વની સૌથી ઊંચી પ્રતિમા છે. ભારતીય સ્વતંત્રતા ચળવળના નેતા વલ્લભભાઈ પટેલને સમર્પિત આ સ્મારક સરદાર સરોવર બંધની સામે 3.2 km (2.0 mi) નર્મદા નદીમાં આવેલા સાધુ બેટ પર આવેલું છે.

This reproduction is permitted under the Indian Copyright Act of 1957, Section 52, which states:
...
(s) the making or publishing of a painting, drawing, engraving or photograph of a work of architecture or the display of a work of architecture;
(t) the making or publishing of a painting, drawing, engraving or photograph of a sculpture, or other artistic work failing under sub-clause (iii) of clause (c) of section 2 ["any other work of artistic craftsmanship"], if such work is permanently situate in a public place or any premises to which the public has access;

Note that this does not include copies of paintings, drawings, or photographs, as they do not fall under the referenced sub-clause (iii). They fall under sub-clause (i).

(u) the inclusion in a cinematograph film of-
(i) any artistic work permanently situate in a public place or any premises to which the public has access;
