Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Description:
  • The 16:10 aspect ratio is equal to 8/5.
  • CIF (352 × 288) has a ratio of 11:9
  • WSVGA (1024 × 600) has a ratio of 128:75 (round 17:10, or something between 5:3 and 16:9)
  • UWQHD (3440 × 1440) is not exactly 21:9 (21:9 for 1440p would be theoretically 3360 x 1440)

Edit summary:

  • Updated to include UHD-2, UHD Ultrawide, 8K Full Format, 5K, 5K Ultrawide, and Square (1:1).

Note about the svg:

  • The code has the typical inaccurate coordinates from graphic editors (like “stroke-width=2.0301635” instead of “2”) and some redundant style definitons. It also uses an x-offset of 0.5 und y-offset of -3307.5, abandoned use of css classes and some unused declarations.
  • For nearly the same diagram but with cleaned coordinates and 30 % of file size, see File:Vector Video Standards8.svg

"rect-189" to "rect-ratio_17_9"); eliminate double style definitions; changed color of 17:9 (was bit too similar to 5:3); the common name is "16:10", but "8:5" should be an additional mathematical information, see also [[w:en:16:10...

"UHD-1"/"UHD-2" is the name of DVB's plan to roll out 4K and 8K resolution to broadcast television, not a name for the resolution that those plans call for. There is no "official name" for this resolution (as with most), but the most generally recognized/accepted names are "4K UHD" and "8K UHD". • Changed "4K" and "8K" to "DCI 2K" and "DCI 4K". The terms "4K" and "8K" are generic and have been in use since before the DCI standard existed. DCI did not c...
