Image:Soukaigi.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Title: Soukaigi or Shōkaigi

It seems that the title has been changed from Soukaigi to Shōkaigi, but I believe this is incorrect. (As a disclaimer, I must say that I am not a native Japanese speaker and do not know very much Japanese at all.) However, both the Japanese version of this page as well as the Gamespot page spell the title as Soukaigi (そうかいぎ). Also, this dictionary does not list "shō" as any of the readings for first kanji of the title, 双, though I am not quite sure whether that constitutes a valid source for this kind of thing. Perhaps a mistake was made in the romanization as ou/ō. Regardless of the "ou" or "ō," the Japanese sounds "sho" (しょ) and "so" (そ) are entirely different. I propose that the title (and all references to the game's name) be changed back to "Soukaigi" (or "Sōkaigi"), but it would be helpful to see what a native Japanese speaker says about it first. 130.85.223.220 (talk) 07:24, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

Sōkaigi → Soukaigi – When searching for references to the title, I found the spelling "Soukaigi" to be more common. Plus, most existing articles that link to the page use the old spelling. The original discussion about a page move was due to it being given the incorrect title "Shōkaigi". Oppose - I think most likely that is simply a mispelling. The official name seems to be that of the current title. • Support. The opposes are incorrect, there's no misspelling. It's just a different romanization method, so it's a matter of what is used more often in English-language sources, which appears to be Soukaigi. —Xezbeth (talk) 14:04, 5 March 2019 (UTC)

We're not going to get serious WP:RS English-language sources for what is a wholly Japanese language product for the Japanese market. The screen even displays scores in Japanese characters. So stick with en-WP Japanese norms. In ictu oculi (talk) 08:07, 12 March 2019 (UTC)

While I appreciate your position, there are multiple reputable sources (1,2, 3, 4, 5 6) that use the "Soukaigi" version, and far fewer (1, 2) that use the "Sokaigi/Sōkaigi" version. I looked for both spellings to see which was more common in both archive and contemporary sources, and opened this discussion based on my findings. --ProtoDrake (talk) 08:32, 12 March 2019 (UTC)

Something extra. The Sony-published arrange album SQUARE ENIX BATTLE TRACKS Vol.2 SQUARE 1996-1998 has English titles on the front, and one of them is this game spelled as Soukaigi. --ProtoDrake (talk) 18:29, 12 March 2019 (UTC)

• Support - As the common spelling. The title 双界儀 spelled in hiragana is そうかいぎ. These letters individually are interpreted as "so-u-ka-i-gi" in English. The whole word can be romanized as either Sōkaigi or Soukaigi. Both of these writings are acceptable, the long vowels can be interpreted either way. Since Soukaigi is used in more sources like Proto demonstrated above, the article should be listed under that title. TarkusAB^talk 09:29, 17 March 2019 (UTC)
