Help.
edit{{helpme}} I was wondering if their was a template that could automatically add up how many countries are in a article section, instead of manually?
e.g.:
- The following 12 countries have so far confirmed their participation in the contest:
So the '12' in the sentence would automatically update when another is added. Thanks. -- [[ axg ◉ talk ]] 15:27, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
- I'll be perfectly honest with you; yes, it could be done - sure. Anything can be done. However, it would be damn complicated, and is almost certainly not worth the complication - mostly, because it would make the page much more difficult for anyone to edit - and we want pages to be easy to change, for anyone.
- If you are still keen on the idea, you could ask in Wikipedia:Requested templates.
- For more help, you can either;
- Leave a message on my own talk page;
OR
- Use a {{helpme}} - please create a new section at the end of your own talk page, put {{helpme}}, and ask your question - remember to 'sign' your name by putting ~~~~ at the end;
OR
- Talk to us live, with this or this.
- The last of those is particularly useful - please try it; pop in now and say hello. Chzz ► 16:09, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

editI stepped on your reversion at Eurovision Song Contest 2011, sorry. I was about to revert myself when you beat me to it. Thanks. Bento00 (talk) 16:02, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
My user page
editI believe that you may have forgotten about me. :) If you are still interested in making me a wonderful new user page, I left what I basically want in the first section on my talk page. Thanks. Hi878 (talk) 16:44, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
- If nothing else, I would like you to tell me if you still are interested or not, because if you aren't, I want to find someone else to. However, I would love it if you would make one, because I think that your userpage is one of the best that I have seen. Hi878 (talk) 19:28, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
- Could I please just have an answer? I can tell that you have been online. A simple "yes" or "no" would be fantastic. Hi878 (talk) 18:34, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

Sky's Logo on BskyB
editHey, Checking out Sky's logo, would make it appear that it is indeed now back to a transparent style one.. Checking sky's site (sky.com) would make it appear that they have a colour changing one, I also checked the BskyB corporate pages, and they also feature the transparent one. I was just wondering when it changed, as I don't remember it. Cheers, Lukefulford (talk) 21:48, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
Eurovision Song Contest 1973 Logo
editI have a more definitive image of the official logo for 1973. But I don't know how you upload pictures to wiki or understand any of the rules regarding images and what you have to do to make them legitimate for use. As you uploaded the current 1973 logo, you clearly understand all these rules. Let me know if you'd like me to send you the image for uploading. TVArchivistUK (talk) 11:38, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
Userpage Renovation
editHello, Please could you renovate my userpage like yours. At the moment, mine is simply a couple of paragraph's of text and userboxes. I especially like your 'home page' design, I think this is a very good way of organising content. I would be grateful if you could make this in a user-sub page first, and I will more than happily award you with a barnstar for your efforts.Thanks,Acather96 (talk) 08:03, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

ESC Templates
editWould it be possible to add Asiavision/Our Sound capability to our Eurovision templates? I just noticed {{OS National Year}} and I think we should combine it since it is basically the same thing as the one we already have. I'm not sure what the proper linking would be though. It isn't exactly clear whether "Our Sound" is just a slogan for this year or if the contest's name will always be "Our Sound - The Asiavision Song Contest". My picture
editAny reasons to remove my picture?--DKH2010 (talk) 18:56, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
This is my reason
editI like to edit as IP address rather than logged in proof at my user page
I replaced SVG version with my version because SVG version is harder to know the country got DVB-T yet, my version is newer too, changed Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, North Vietnam to orange, old one is grey for "No data". I like new colours too.--113.53.212.109 (talk) 19:01, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
- SVG is a common format that can easily be changed and is regularly and should be used for maps when possible. I don't understand the first part of your comment, but if you are referring to the size issue then and SVG can easily be enlarged with out losing quality (like JPG's). The colours you have used for "Transition completed, all analog signals terminated" and "Transition in progress, broadcasting both analog and digital signals" are far too similar, with the red standing out more in SVG. the US should not be coloured in red. Also the SVGs uses grey like many other maps were "No information available". -- [[ axg ◉ talk ]] 19:52, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
- Then update Thailand, Cambodia, Laos to "Transition in progress, broadcasting both analog and digital signals", do not delete my picture, please keep.--113.53.212.109 (talk) 07:04, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
- PS I can change colour for your desire, every countrys have to switch in the future? Impossible to broadcast analog signals in the future. North Korea have to be No data.--113.53.212.109 (talk) 07:15, 29 October 2010 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Kays.png
editThanks for uploading File:Kays.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

Infobox Eurovision
editDo you have any idea why in the example on {{Infobox Eurovision}}, the titles for each field display left justified while on an actual page they are awkwardly centered? Grk1011/Stephen (talk) 21:17, 13 December 2010 (UTC) I've confused myself. I have a window with them left justified and I clicked the above link to test it and they are centered. I have two internet tabs showing two different views somehow. When I refresh them both they still stay different. I'm lost. Grk1011/Stephen (talk) 21:19, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

New Sky logos
editHi, I'm concerned that the SVG recreations of the new Sky logos you have posted seem to be inaccurate. None of the new Sky logos seem to have anything black in them, and the parts that you have made black seem to actually be transparent.
Based on what I've seen so far, each of the new Sky logos seem to have three variants for use on different backgrounds:
- One version for use on dark backgrounds, which has the "Sky" and "HD" lettering in white. Seen on most Sky websites, and PDFs from Sky Programme Information.
- One version for use on bright background, which has the "Sky" and "HD" lettering in the same colour background behind the channel name. Seen, for example, on page 5 in this PDF.
- One version for use on white background, were the background between "Sky" and "HD" has a grey gradient. See here.
As Wikipedia uses white backgrounds, the third version would be ideal for use here.
Note that all new Sky logos also have a greyish, slightly opaque, border, which is a permanent part of the logos and seems omitted in your logos.

Speedy deletion nomination of Template:Infobox Eurovision/Map
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. DixonD (talk) 11:19, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

Added template for SuggestBot
editHi,
Thanks for being one of SuggestBot's users! I hope you have found the bot's suggestions useful.
We are in the process of switching from our previous list-based signup process to using templates and userboxes, and I have therefore added the appropriate template to your user talk page. You should receive the first set of suggestions within a day, and since we'll be automating SuggestBot you will from then on continue to receive them regularly at the desired frequency.
We now also have a userbox that you can use to let others know you're using SuggestBot, and if you don't want to clutter your user talk page the bot can post to a sub-page in your userspace. More information about the userbox and usage of the template is available on User:SuggestBot/Getting Recommendations Regularly.
If there are any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me on my user talk page. Thanks again, Nettrom (talk) 22:01, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

Edit war
editHello. You appear to be involved in an edit war on List of Eurovision Song Contest winners. While the three-revert rule is hard and fast, please be aware that you can be blocked for edit warring without making 3 reverts to an article in 24 hours. You are not entitled to 3 reverts and are expected to cooperatively engage other editors on talk pages rather than reverting their edits. Note that posting your thoughts on the talk page alone is not a license to continue reverting. You must reach consensus. Continued edit warring may cause you to be blocked. Orphaned non-free image File:Telecinco Sport logo.png
editThanks for uploading File:Telecinco Sport logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude2 (talk) 04:53, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

TVARK homepage image
editHi
Yesterday i uploaded an updated screenshot of the TVARK homepage for the TVARK page. However at present, the current image is clashing with your previous one: due to the images similarity from the previous one it is contested for speedy deletion. Is there anything you can suggest to contest this, considering that it is just an updated image? Rafmarham (talk) 09:22, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:File-UK digital switchover.svg
editA tag has been placed on File:File-UK digital switchover.svg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
