*'''Comment, leaning delete'''. This seems to relate to ''[[Oprah Prime]]'', which was known as "''Oprah's Next Chapter''" (and mentioned on the main article) at the time this redirect was created in 2013. Google search results, which all date from 2012-13, fall into three groups. The first are reactions, mainly by Indians, against a particular episode in July 2012. The second group consists of miscellaneous reviews and commentaries on the show (some from reliable sources, others not). If these were the only hits I'd be unhesitatingly recommending deletion, however there is a third group of hits from reliable sources that describe episodes or specials with this exact name, e.g. [https://www.adelaidenow.com.au/entertainment/confidential/bridgette-sneddon-thrilled-to-join-her-logiewinning-boyfriend-steve-peacocke-on-home-and-away/news-story/db86b9cf5abb141aabf2e55ac94e3e6e?nk=55170a37887f279751150d16834020f4-1698955130] (interview with Tina Turner), [https://popcrush.com/lady-gaga-mother-screw-loose/] (interview with Lady GaGa) [https://www.brecorder.com/news/amp/73136] (interview with Rihanna). However as these are all contemporary with episodes of "Oprah's Next Chapter" they have left me confused. I'm leaning delete because we don't appear to have any mention of this on en.wp, but I'm not outright recommending that because it's possible we should have something to point to. This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on November 17, 2023.
Oprah's Last Chapter
- Oprah's Last Chapter → Oprah Winfrey (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Target article is unclear on what this redirect is meant to refer. Steel1943 (talk) 18:30, 2 November 2023 (UTC)

Mao Genocide
- Mao Genocide → Great Leap Forward#Consequences (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
- Mao genocide → Great Leap Forward#Consequences (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Controversial redirect whose article to which it is targeted does not mention that the name of the redirect is the common name. Also, it was created by a sockpuppet user. 2x2leax (talk) 06:59, 10 November 2023 (UTC)
- Similar nominations merged. Steel1943 (talk) 07:36, 10 November 2023 (UTC)
- Delete Unlike the Cultural Revolution, there is nothing in the article that describes the Great Leap Forward as a genocide or similar. The GLF is instead described as a politicide. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 04:20, 11 November 2023 (UTC)
- Delete per missing the cultural genocide activities of the Red Guards in the Cultural Revolution -- 65.92.247.90 (talk) 02:45, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
- Comment see the related nomination at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2023 November 9#Mao Zedong genocide -- 65.92.247.90 (talk) 02:45, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
- A look at some of the redirect's targets that got moved over time: Landlord Classicide under Mao Zedong which was moved to Mass killings of landlords under Mao Zedong moved to Chinese Land Reform Movement (1947-1976) moved to Land Reform Movement. Also see Class purges under Mao Zedong and List of massacres in China. The current target did not come about as part of the moves, but was a bold retarget by an IP in 2019. If any of the titles can be seen as similar to the redirect under discussion, then retarget to the appropriate target. Jay 💬 09:43, 17 November 2023 (UTC)

Diviya
I believe the primary topic is a slavic deity and this is a misspelling of the woman's name Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 03:01, 10 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Immanuelle: apologies if this is more obvious than it seems to me, but what is your suggested resolution/target? Skynxnex (talk) 14:55, 10 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Skynxnex I am proposing deleting the redirect. There is no article on the deity right now, but I feel the current one is just a misspelling and not worth being there. Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 16:10, 10 November 2023 (UTC)
- Retarget to Diviya G K, tag with {{R from given name}}. Jay 💬 09:36, 17 November 2023 (UTC)

Maple leafs
- Maple leafs → Maple leaf (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
The plural form of "leaf" is "leaves", not "leafs". However, there is a hockey team (the Toronto Maple Leafs) that the redirect Maple Leafs points to. I think it's more likely that a user searching for this term would expect to find the hockey team while forgetting to capitalize the term "leafs" than it would be that they forget the plural of "leaf", add an "s" on to the end and seek to find the leaf. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 19:53, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- Weak retarget to Toronto Maple Leafs – I'm not entirely convinced that the Leafs are the primary topic for this term, but the spelling is fairly unusual. On the other hand, it's a plausible grammar mistake to make, especially if you're learning English (world-renowned for its straightforward grammar and intuitive spelling). The second hatnote at Toronto Maple Leafs covers that fine, though.
- On the other hand, maybe targeting to Maple leaf (disambiguation) is best, as it represents a compromise between the current target and the proposed one.
- Ultimately, we have to guess what people searching "Maple leafs" in the Wikipedia search engine want, and, as we aren't telepathic,‹The template Fake citation needed is being considered for merging.› [citation needed] we may as well flip a coin. I think the hockey team is the best target, given the hatnote, but not by a wide margin. Edward-Woodrow (talk) 21:05, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
Minor-attracted persons
- Minor-attracted persons → Chronophilia (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Largely per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Minor-attracted person (2nd nomination), a redirect was rejected in favor of outright deletion. Minor-attracted person was salted thereafter, but this title was not, and so it was created. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 18:53, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
🔥
I feel like this emoji could just as easily be representing a flame, which is where it might be better to point to (emojipedia, for example, describes this emoji as depicting "a flame"). — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 18:36, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- Soft redirect to wikt:🔥, which gives multiple meanings, beside unicode information. Edward-Woodrow (talk) 21:06, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- Keep. This is U+1F525, and is named FIRE. It's pointing to the right place. - Eureka Lott 21:42, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
Trumpesque
- Trumpesque → Donald Trump (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Should this redirect to Trumpism instead? Steel1943 (talk) 19:08, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
- I would tend to think not, since the word can be used to refer to ostentatiousness as readily as to a particular political movement. BD2412 T 19:16, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
- Based on the wiktionary entry, I would lean towards keeping as a {{r from adjective}}. Edward-Woodrow • talk 20:13, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
- Keep as is, per SlateBlue ; adjective referring to the style of Donald Trump -- 65.92.247.90 (talk) 12:41, 3 November 2023 (UTC)
- Redirecting to Trump's page won't help the reader understand what Trumpesque means. Why not change the redirect to the wiktionary entry? Space4Time3Continuum2x (cowabunga) 20:14, 3 November 2023 (UTC)

Holy Spirit Catholic School (San Jose, California)
- Holy Spirit Catholic School (San Jose, California) → San Jose, California (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
- Holy Spirit Catholic School California → San Jose, California (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ] Bundled. -- Tavix (talk) 13:47, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
Not mentioned at the target which itself is a pretty broad topic. Nobody searching for this school would like to read up on the city that it is in. Why? I Ask (talk) 03:50, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- Comment there are very brief mentions at Almaden Valley, San Jose#Education and Roman Catholic Diocese of San José in California#Primary schools. 59.149.117.119 (talk) 07:22, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- Delete, no mentions are substantial enough to warrant a redirect. I've found one more that I've bundled. -- Tavix (talk) 13:48, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- Delete. Just because the thing exists doesn’t mean it warrants a redirect, there are very few mentions of this place. Yoblyblob (talk) 15:58, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- Redirect to the school district, or in this case, Roman Catholic Diocese of San José in California as mentioned, as with other redirects of primary schools AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 16:18, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
Harpo Winfrey
- Harpo Winfrey → Oprah Winfrey (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Seems like a potential WP:XY issue pertaining to the target subject and Harpo Productions. Either way, the use of the word "Harpo" in regards to Oprah Winfrey ("Harpo" is "Oprah" backwards) refers more to the company "Harpo Productions", given that the biographical subject is not usually, if ever, referred to as "Harpo". Hamas militants
- Hamas militants → Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Should this redirect here, or the main Hamas article? GnocchiFan (talk) 23:14, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
- Keep. The term "Hamas militants" going to the article on the military wing of Hamas (that is, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades) is very logical and sensible. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 13:38, 3 November 2023 (UTC)
- I understand that logic, but is this what the term "Hamas militants" means in common parlance? GnocchiFan (talk) 16:56, 3 November 2023 (UTC)
- I think so. All of the regular forces of Hamas would fall under that umbrella, from what I understand. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 20:56, 3 November 2023 (UTC)

- Keep I don't know much about how Hamas is structured, but if I reached this article I would probably be satisfied. If I was looking for the main article I could just click the link in the lead. --Trialpears (talk) 06:52, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
First violin
- First violin → Concertmaster (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Potentially unclear if this redirect is meant to refer to the target, or to String section which contains reference to a "first violin" section rather than a sole individual. Steel1943 (talk) 05:40, 9 November 2023 (UTC)
- See definition 2 at: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/first_violin
- Samw (talk) 12:01, 9 November 2023 (UTC)
- I don't think wiktionary is officially "RS": and I do not think this definition is correct. As the second definition suggests, the "number one violin" in an orchestra is called the "leader" in Britain, the "concertmaster" in America. But otherwise, the expression "first violin" (usu/often plural) refers to the first violin part or players, as the first defn. at wiktionary says, before it goes off the rails. Imaginatorium (talk) 17:29, 9 November 2023 (UTC)
Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.
Please add new comments below this notice. Thanks, ✗plicit 03:27, 17 November 2023 (UTC)- Redirect to string section as proposed. First violin refers mainly to the section, not the one position. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 15:38, 17 November 2023 (UTC)

Arcanists

- Disambig or soft redirect. This is a very likely search term, but without a clear primary topic. I'm unsure if a disambig is viable but if it isn't a link to wikt:arcanist will help many of those searching. Thryduulf (talk) 01:03, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- Soft redirect to wikt:arcanist as most helpful. Edward-Woodrow (talk) 21:09, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
Fools Rush In(song)
- Fools Rush In(song) → Fools Rush In (Where Angels Fear to Tread) (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Delete per WP:RDAB due to the extra space between the title and the disambiguator. The title with the correct spacing, Fools Rush In (song), is a redirect that targets the same target as the nominated redirect. Steel1943 (talk) 00:25, 17 November 2023 (UTC)

Philip Dunne(writer)
- Philip Dunne(writer) → Philip Dunne (writer) (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Delete per WP:RDAB due to the extra space between the title and the disambiguator. The title with the correct spacing, Philip Dunne (writer), is the target of the nominated redirect. Steel1943 (talk) 00:24, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- Delete per nom and WP:RDAB. Why should this implausible redirect exist if the correctly formatted one does? Regards, SONIC678 00:31, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
