Rosharon is an unincorporated area in Brazoria County, Texas at the intersection of Farm to Market Road 521 and Farm to Market Road 1462.
It has a population of more than 21,233 people, more than any other city in the county of Brazoria. Population rate grew scince 200 at approx 26.78% The unincorporated limits extend more than 5000 square miles.[citation needed]
Citizens of southern Rosharon are primarily engaged in farming and ranching, while citizens of northern Rosharon typically travel to neighboring cities for employment.[citation needed]
Demographics
Neighborhoods include Lindell Estates, Lakes of Savanna, Chenango Ranch, Coffee Lake, The Enclave at SouthFork, Southern Trails, Silverlake, Seven Oaks Ranch, and Sun Creek Ranch, Sterling Lakes.
There are also four Texas Department of Criminal Justice Prison Units in Rosharon: Darrington, Ramsey, Stringfellow, and Terrell.
Education
Students in Rosharon attend either Alvin ISD or Angleton ISD.
