Daniel M. Borislow is an American entrepreneur, inventor, and thoroughbred horse breeder/owner.

Borislow was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 21, 1961 to Dr. Bernard Borislow and Roberta Ritchie. He is the third of four children, with three brothers, David, Michael, and Andrew.

Personal life

A mentor to youth and collegiate soccer players in South Florida, Dan is an active player and coach to many children and young adults. He is also an avid deep sea fisherman and has won competitive fishing tournaments. Dan's philanthropic activities are focused on education, cancer research and children's fitness and athletics.

A graduate of Widener University in suburban Philadelphia, he has an Honorary Doctorate in Information Technology and serves on the university’s Board Of Trustees.

Dan resides in Palm Beach, Florida and Brigantine, New Jersey with his wife and two children.

Current Work

Dan is inventor and founder of "magicJack", a telecommunications device that provides free local and long distance to the United States and Canada. Based in West Palm Beach, Florida, the company has launched product nationwide. In January 2008, PC Magazine awarded magicJack the Editors' Choice.
