The Mall Preston, formally; The Mall St George, or St George's Centre, is a Shopping Centre in the city of Preston in Lancashire, England.

Ownership

The present shopping centre is owned by the The Mall Company, and is often traded as just 'The Mall'. Before The Mall took over the centre, it was a independent company.

Centre Information

The shopping centre opened in the 1990s, and was very popular with locals as the only other shopping centre in Preston, The Fishergate Centre, is fairly small. The centre has large halls and promenades, lined with shops and stalls. Glass roofs and walls, also are evident in the centre.

Re-Development

When The Mall Company took over the centre, they were greeted with a aging shopping centre, which was dirty and empty of shops. A massive development scheme was introduced, and small stalls, main shops, cafes, restaurants, toilets, and escalators were overhauled. The introduction of Television Screens in the shopping centres has given information and news to the shoppers in the centre. The Mall Company has also put 'Ask Me' points in the centre, so shoppers can ask members of staff diections and other information.

The shopping centre is located right in the centre of Preston, and can be reached easily from several transport hubs, including:

The centre is linked with the Preston Park & Ride and Preston Bus services.

Retailers

There are many retailers in the centre, including:
