Christopher "Kid" Keith Knapp[1] was born in March 28th, 1978 in Los Gatos California. Knapp attended Los Gatos High School, class of 1997.

He was the drummer of the American rock group The Ataris. Kid established himself as a model drummer and provided the driving rhythms on all Ataris recordings and tours from the Look Forward to Failure EP through the band's live album, Live At The Metro.

Knapp grew up playing metal in the upscale of Los Gatos area, he had no idea who The Ataris were or knew anything about punk music. Kris Roe made five cds and told him that they were his education, Knapp had no idea that MXPX, Jawbreaker, Green Day, even existed.

In mid 2004, he parted ways with The Ataris.
