Nielsen Online is an Internet media and market research firm that conducts studies of Ad Relevance and Ad Intelligence, in addition to Internet Audience Measurement. It is made up of the combination of Nielsen//NetRatings and Nielsen BuzzMetrics, which merged in early October 2007 to create the new company under the main Nielsen Company.

Products

Nielsen Online's products are based on internet audience measurement in all its various forms.

  • BuzzMetrics focuses on the monitoring of consumer generated media (CGM) and word-of-mouth (WOM) for products and services on the internet. Data is drawn directly from sites, message boards and blogs to create a listing of all the 'buzz' for that item on the internet.
