The figure 200,000 is mentioned in that NY Times article, this figure is talking about the amount of demonstrators supporting the trials, not the death toll, I will change it though to 200,000+, since the source mentions 200,000 surplus, sorry for any misunderstanding. 176.251.25.150 (talk) 17:15, 8 March 2013 (UTC)

Stop WP:edit warring. This article is not only for describing Shahbag protest. So it should not contain the number of protesters. So don't put back those figure again. You have inserted Lead figures section in info box. Which has no base. If you revert this article again, you will be reported. I am adding a welcome template on top of this page. No need to put these things I know how Wikipedia works here been using it for years. The reason why you are removing it because you are biased to the whole protests which is quite evident, but remember there is two protests not just Shahbag.
