Sheldrake

[edit]

It would be very helpful, IMHO, if you could post some sort of opinion HERE. The Sheldrake talk page is short of people who know how to express opinions politely and helpfully. Anything at all from such a person could serve as an example to others. Lou Sander (talk) 01:57, 23 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The discussion is about the topic Lou Sander's notice to you. Thank you.-- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 09:17, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I was bold and took the liberty of bolding the words "100% support the proposal" in your comment at the bottom of the Academic credentials section. Its form now matches that of my own comment, and of others in similar sections of other talk pages. Feel free to revert it, to demand that I revert it myself, to tell me to buzz off, etc. I'm just trying to help. Lou Sander (talk) 13:10, 26 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I should have responded before, my apologies - and said that I don't mind particularly, but it's not a good idea to make those kind of changes, in case it suggests more emphasis than intended. I have seen editors run into trouble for making minor amendments to other editor's posts, and you've seen how easily things get escalated. Glad to see that common sense prevailed in the above incident. Tento2 (talk) 15:31, 1 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
