Signoff

[edit]

Did Signoff end up carrying 51.5kg? Do we need to note this? Normally it is in brackets after the allocated weight but possibly it may ruin the table. Possibly a note underneath? Tigerman2005 (talk) 04:34, 4 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Trophy

[edit]

Is the trophy really SOLID gold? (The link supporting this claim is dead.) HiLo48 (talk) 05:52, 4 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Seems to be, the dead link was easy to replace. The trophy's not that big, $175,000 could probably buy you enough gold. IgnorantArmies 08:58, 4 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I wonder what "solid" gold really means? Pure gold is a quite impractical material. It's very soft. Hence the old movie thing of people biting into allegedly gold objects to test their purity. Practical gold objects are almost always alloys. Does "solid" simply mean "not hollow"? Is it simply a peacock word? HiLo48 (talk) 10:13, 4 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It is reported as 18 carat gold. WWGB (talk) 10:29, 4 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
