What a stupid feminist way to start the article

[edit]

Finland is ,in fact, very safe country, and even if it wasn't there is no reason - but propagandist - to start the article with a reference to some dubious feminist surveys. Never trus Wikipedia when it comes to feminist issues! I stopped reading right away. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.248.191.141 (talk) 11:09, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It gets even more classically stupid when they deny, apologize for, and minimize female-male sexual 'violence'. You'd never know from reading this article that a culture of (PROFESSIONAL) denial surrounds female perpetrated sexual assault (as shown so well in Miriam Denov's Perspectives of Female Sex Offenders: A Culture of Denial) or that the latest research (by UCLA's Lara Stemple) shows conclusively that women commit sexual assault at near parity with men. WP encourages bigoted self-serving feminist propagandists who 'gender' domestic violence, who ignore domestic vice, and who gender rape and child abuse...and silences their enemies. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.58.207.10 (talk) 01:42, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Improving this article

[edit]

Hello! My name is Anniina and I created this article as a part of a class assingment. The article is still very much a work in progress, and I would gladly receive any feedback, tips and advice on how to improve this article and make it as good as possible. Thank you! Please read/listen to the following, remove feminist propaganda, and bring balance to the article:

Well on your way!

[edit]

Your article has gotten very developed. I feel like you have covered the informational well and provided a lot of additional info. Your inclusion of perpetrator and victim sections make the article more human, showing a different side of the issue. The only suggestion I would make is to reword some sections. There are sections that do lack neutrality. Some things just need to be reworked so that they are more up to Wikipedia’s strict neutrality standards. For example, the section describing the perpetrators and their demographics has a feeling of bias. The data is clear but there needs to be some description or explanation of what this data means and where it stems from. Why are these particular groups perpetrators more often than other groups? Also, I am not sure that the law sections deserves so much information. Maybe summing up what the Finnish law says with references/citations to that particular document. Also, watch out for wording; make sure even the sections that are quoted or paraphrased are done so in a way that is accessible to the general public. Great work!

[edit]

Your article covers many aspects of the issue of sexual violence in Finland! I particularly found the discussion about law and the distinguishing between rape, aggravated rape and forcing someone to a sexual act. I would suggest going more in depth of the "Victim" section to give a broader idea of how each group are effected. Furthermore, modern day examples of large court cases that got major publicity would be interesting for this article as well. There are also a few grammar and sentence structure issues here or there that will be easy to fix, but once fixed will greatly raise the quality of the article. Overall though very great job! Very interesting!

[edit]

This was a very interesting article to read about a topic that I really did not know much about. It gave me a much greater insight into the issue in Finland. The only thing I would recommend is rewording some of it because the grammar is a little off. I'm sure the quality of the article would be amazing after you made those structural changes. Well done!! Irrelevant source

[edit]

in the "Children" section most of the content is based on a source "Chandy et al" that has absolutely no relevance at all to Finland. There may be other such irrelevant sources but this one is glaringly obvious. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 06:25, 22 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

foreigner numbers

https://www.stat.fi/tup/maahanmuutto/maahanmuuttajat-vaestossa/ulkomaalaistaustaiset_en.html are more accurate and readable. This seems of low relevance and plays into the racist stereotypes prevalent in Scandinavia of all muslims and africans are rapists. This should be better contextualised and updated to avoid this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.115.204.102 (talk) 01:12, 28 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
