This is the English speaking Wikipedia

[edit]

Welcome, and thank you for contributing the page Guadeloupe Bonifieur to Wikipedia. While you have added the page to the English version of Wikipedia, the article is not in English. We invite you to translate it into English. It currently has been listed at Pages Needing Translation, but if it is not translated within two weeks, the article will be listed for deletion. Thank you.

Nous vous prions de ne pas ajouter de texte en français à Wikipédia anglophone. Par contre, vos contributions sont bienvenues sur Wikipédia francophone.

Please do not contribute text in French to English Wikipedia. Your contributions are more than welcome at French Wikipedia. De728631 (talk) 19:45, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Guadeloupe Bonifieur requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Welcome

[edit]

Hello Amelie jolie, and welcome to Wikipedia. I hope that you have enjoyed contributing and want to stick around. Here are some tips to help you get started:

If you need any more information, plenty of help is available - check out Wikipedia:Questions; ask your question here and attract help with the code {{helpme}}; or leave me a message on my talk page explaining your problem and I will help as best as I can. Again, welcome! strdst_grl (call me Stardust) 08:41, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I came across Guadeloupe Bonifieur and tried to help out by rewriting it a bit. The main problem now is verifiability through citations of reliable sources. I have placed suggestions of which comments you need to source. I hope this helps! strdst_grl (call me Stardust) 09:28, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The correct way to add sources is:
  1. Locate the statement you are sourcing.
  2. Delete the {{citation needed}} tag.
  3. Place <ref> </ref> tags where you want to insert the reference.
  4. Between the ref tags, add an external link in square brackets - [web address (space) page name]. If the source you are citing is a book, just write the title and author between the ref tags, without any brackets.
  5. Save the page, and the link will automatically appear in the "References" section.
You can learn more about this at WP:CITE#Inline citations. Alternatively, if you can provide the right links in the right places, I am happy to help you tidy it up afterwards. strdst_grl (call me Stardust) 15:23, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Banana Wine.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Banana Wine.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 00:40, 26 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Vanessa bolosier

[edit]

The article Vanessa bolosier has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

All the references are either trivial notices or advertisements for her book.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
