This template generates an html anchor (link target).
Parameters
|1=
(required)- The ID that you want to assign to the anchor. This can be almost anything and can include spaces, but double quote signs (") should be avoided. However, you should probably keep it short and concise, as it will have to be typed verbatim by anyone who wants to create a link to this anchor.
|2=
,|3=
and so on (optional)- Any further IDs that you want to assign to the anchor.
Examples
Suppose you want to create an anchor for the abbreviation "Ezek." on the page Appendix:Abbreviations for English given names.
First choose one or more appropriate IDs, such as "Ezek-abbrev", "Ezek." and "Ezek", then replace Ezek. with
Ezek-abbrevEzek.
This does not change the way the page looks.
Now, when you want to link to this line on the appendix page from within Wiktionary, you can use:
Ezek.
or
Ezek.
or
Ezek.
