Moi University be varsity wey dey locate insyd Kesses, Eldoret town, Uasin Gishu county, insyd de former Rift Valley Province of Kenya.[1] Na dem establish am insyd 1984 by de Moi University Act of de Parliament of Kenya, after recommendations from de McKay Commission.

De current chancellor of de varsity be Professor Miriam Were while de vice-chancellor be Professor Isaac Sanga Kosgey.

Na dem establish Moi University insyd 1984. For ein first year of existence, na der be one department per - de Department of Forestry. Na de enrollment dat year be 83.[2]

Na dem establish de varsity ein school of medicine insyd 1996, wey na ebe de second school of medicine dem establish insyd de country.[3]

Na de varsity ein first VC be Professor D. Odhiambo, wey na he serve from 1984 to 1988.

De current Vice Chancellor of Moi University be Prof. Isaac Sanga Kosgey.[4]
