    Jim Jarmusch’s next film will premiere at Cannes. Last year, the filmmaker began working on Father, Mother, Sister, Brother, a triptych which stars Cate Blanchett, Adam Driver and Tom Waits among others. In an interview with France Inter, he said he plans to debut the film at Cannes Film Festival – unsurprising, considering that’s where his last five films premiered.

    Annie Lennox‘s first headline in six years is a benefit for women’s rights. Next March, the musician and founder of womens’ aid NGO The Circle will headline London’s Royal Albert Hall. Proceeds of the show will go to her charity, which supports women and girls facing violence and injustice worldwide. “Funding has never been so needed,” Raakhi Shah, The Circle’s CEO, said. “Things are getting worse for many women around the world.”

    The Blair Witch Project is finally being released the way its creators intended. Back in 1999, the appropriate technology didn’t exist to digitise the movie’s 16mm and Hi8 tapes – now it does. To celebrate its 25 anniversary, the rerelease will restore the film’s original tapes, something the film’s producer says “creates a far scarier psychological effect.” Additionally, the release will also include 90+ minutes of unseen footage, a feature length documentary and a 184-page hardback book.

Curated by Brian Boa, Common Ground explores the “dynamics of domestic life.” From surveillance video footage to subversive sculpture work that critiques America’s penal system, the multi-medium work on display from contemporary artists EFE, Martine Syms, Mark Lecky, Lloyd Foster, Walid Labri and Hassan Rahim examines how public and private spaces influence creative processes. Common Ground is on at Los Angeles’ The Little House Gallery until 14 December.
