Sequestration de carbon es un projecto consistente a stockar a longe termo un grande quantitate de carbon atmospheric artificialmente capturate pro compensar partialmente emissiones de carbon fossile. Carbon dioxydo (CO2) es naturalmente capturate del atmosphera per processos biologic, chimic o physic ma le phenomeno es troppo lente pro contrar le calefaction global.[1] Hic, on cerca a obtener artificialmente un effecto similar ma in volumines capabile de limitar le calefaction global.

In Norvegia, le campos de gas in Sleipner e Snøhvit haberea permitte de stockar 22 megatonnas de CO2 ma iste resultatos monstra le specificitates e limitationes de cada sito.[2][3]
