Donald Wayne Johnson (lahir 15 Desember 1949) merupakan seorang aktor dan produser Amerika Serikat.[2] Ia dikenal sebagai aktor dalam serial televisi Miami Vice (1984–1989) dan Nash Bridges (1996–2001).
Latar belakang
[sunting | sunting sumber]Donald Wayne Johnson[1] lahir pada tanggal 15 Desember 1949 di Flat Creek, Missouri,[2] dari Nell Wilson, seorang ahli kecantikan, dan Wayne Fred Johnson, seorang petani.[3][4] Pada saat kelahirannya, ibu dan ayahnya masing-masing berusia 17 dan 19 tahun.[5] Ia tumbuh dalam kemiskinan di Wichita, Kansas, di mana orang tuanya pindah ketika ia berusia enam tahun.[5]
Ia lulus dari Wichita South High School di mana ia mengikuti program teater sekolah menengah. Sebagai senior, ia memainkan peran utama sebagai Tony dalam West Side Story. Biografinya mencatat bahwa ia sebelumnya muncul di "Burnt Cork and Melody" dan "The Hullabaloo". Setelah lulus dari sekolah pada tahun 1967, ia menempuh pendidikan di Universitas Kansas jurusan teater, tetapi ia keluar setelah satu tahun belajar di sana.[5] Ia kemudian pindah ke San Francisco, California untuk belajar di American Conservatory Theater.[5]
