Route 6 (Japanese: 6番道路 Route 6) is a route in northwest Galar that connects Hammerlocke and Stow-on-Side.
The weather on this route is always harsh sunlight.
Role
When the player first enters the route, a pair of Team Yell Grunts is trying to let a Silicobra rest undisturbed. They blame the player and Hop for causing too much noise. Hop, being in a state of dejection after his recent loss against Bede, ends up losing, requiring the player to defeat both Grunts before they leave. After voicing his insecurities to the player, Hop leaves. The player then briefly meets Opal, who gives the player her League Card before leaving as well.

Route description
Route 6 is a desert-like route with high cliffs and sand, with only a single pool of water being found in the area. At the northern part of the route, which is elevated higher than the southern part and must be accessed from there by taking ladders, is a Pokémon Camp. Next to the Camp is Cara Liss, a scientist who can combine Fossils the player finds into hybrid Fossil Pokémon. Passing underneath a large stone arc and past a large Dugtrio statue provides access to Stow-on-Side in the north.

Pokémon Adventures
Sword & Shield arc
Route 6 first appeared in GRRR!! The Irrepairable Gears as a portion of Galar's Gym Leaders traversed through it aboard Professor Magnolia's trailer while Macro Cosmos employees fought Pokémon Dynamaxed by the Darkest Day in the area. While crossing the bridge leading to Hammerlocke, they were forced to briefly stop when Zacian and Zamazenta jumped across the road on their way to the Hammerlocke Stadium.
In PASS38, Marnie found herself on Route 6, having wound up there after being picked up by Galarian Zapdos at the Crown Tundra and later getting saved from it by Cara Liss, who introduced her to her Fossil restoration technology. Cara Liss had Marnie gather some fossils for her, which she restored into a Dracozolt and an Arctovish. She also revealed that the Dracovish that was currently under Marvin's ownership had originally belonged to her. Afterwards, Marnie spotted the sky darkening in the distance, indicating that the Darkest Day had restarted. While Cara Liss wanted Marnie to stay studying Fossils with her, she refused without a second thought and left.
