GLAMing Madrid, libraries and free images

On October, GLAMing Madrid project continued. The museums have a calendar of activities in each one and, for example, in this month were held four Wikipedia training sessions in the threee museums, which received a high participation, mostly female, with an important number of new editors. As well, we started the selection of images for Wikimedia Commons and it was recorded a concert of classical music, at Museum of Romanticism, having meetings with the musicians of November´s concerts. By last, it was held, on October 17, an triedit-a-thon at National Archaeological Museum, with the participation of the three museums.
Libraries
The activity in libraries has been intense. In Pravia (Asturias) were held two sessions about Wikimedia Commons for librarians; in Badajoz, at Public Library, was celebrated another Wikipedia session; and in Valladolid, at Reina Sofía Library, of the University of Valladolid, started the fifth edition of the Wikipedia course, with a high participation.
Free images
Wikimedia Spain continued obtaining images under a free license. In this month, we got images from the Princess of Asturias Awards Ceremony, in Oviedo, due to the award for Wikipedia, and, one more year, from the Seminci (Valladolid International Film Festival), getting high-value images of actors and filmmakers. As well, the city council of Lanciego/Lantziego uploaded to Commons five images under a free license.

Real Academia Española
On October 7 was signed a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the Real Academia Española to iniciate a collaboration for generate content about the institution, the academics and the Spanish language, and get images and documents under a free license. Besides, Wikimedia Spain was invited to the presentation of the new Dictionary of the Real Academia and also to the presentation of the new Diccionario Panhispánico de Términos Médicos of Real Academia Nacional de Medicina.
X International Seminar about Language and Journalism
Wikimedia Spain was invited to the 10th International Seminar about Language and Journalism celebrated in San Millán de la Cogolla, where the first texts in Spanish and Basque were written. The seminar had a discussion about manual of styles on the net, and the president of Wikimedia Spain introduced this topic.
