In October, Wikidata passed 15 million items and celebrated its third birthday - congratulations!

Tech developments

• Mobile device users are now redirected to the mobile view automatically (example)
• Mix n Match is now available for mobile
• Wikispecies now has access to sitelinks on Wikidata (as do the Meta and MediaWiki project wikis) - not just for taxons, but for repositories, journals and for biographies of taxonomists
• A new Special:Nearby feature shows items with coordinates, near to the user's location
• 'Harvest templates' - useful new tool to copy data from templates on a Wikipedia, or other sister projects, to Wikidata.

• Mix'n'match has more catalogues, including MOMA artists and the US National Gallery of Art
• The birth and death of German playwrights
• How to add dates with undefined calendar (Julian or Gregorian)? is under discussion.
• Wikidata sessions for Wikimania 2016 are being discussed
• In Belgium a new GLAM-Wikidata project started
