Selago corymbosa L. APNI*
Description: Perennial shrub 30–60 cm high; branches finely with short whitish, spreading to retrorse hairs.
Leaves densely clustered in axils of stem leaves, linear or filiform, 3–10 mm long, 0.5–1 mm wide, apex ± obtuse, finely pubescent or ± glabrous.
Flowers numerous, in terminal corymbs 2–6 cm long and diam.; bracts 1–2 mm long. Calyx c. 1 mm long; lobes generally longer than tube. Corolla white, 2–3 mm long; tube 1–2 mm long; lobes unequal, as long as or shorter than the tube.
Fruit ± ovoid, c. 1 mm long.
Flowering: chiefly winter.
Distribution and occurrence: Cultivated as an ornamental, sometimes naturalized in grassland; recorded in the Camden-Campbelltown area. Native of S Afr.
