What at first appears to be good fortune becomes disturbing as winter sets with a broken boiler. Strange noises emanate from the eves; sleep is as inadequate as heat, but the fireplaces appear auspicious. Her dreams reflect her experiences and that of 'history', as her abusive boyfriend - Burnal - Stephen D-Arcy and their vices; lead to a meltdown and confrontation with her divided self and her possible pregnancy.
