Geoffrey Bond Lewis (July 31, 1935 – April 7, 2015) was an American character actor.[1] Lewis was known for his movie roles alongside Robert Redford and Clint Eastwood.[2]
Personal life
[change | change source]Lewis was born in San Diego, California. He was married to Glenis Batley from 1973 until they divorced in 1975, Then he was married to Paula Hochhallter until his death in 2015. One of his daughters is actress-singer Juliette Lewis.
Career
[change | change source]Lewis worked many times with actor-director Clint Eastwood in several movies. They were Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, Pink Cadillac, Any Which Way You Can, Bronco Billy, Every Which Way but Loose, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot and High Plains Drifter.[3] He is also part of the musical story-telling group Celestial Navigations.[4]
Death
[change | change source]On April 7, 2015, Lewis died of natural causes in his Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California home, aged 79.[2]
