Herman Van Springel (14 August 1943 – 25 August 2022) was a Belgian road racing cyclist. He wore the Maillot Jaune during four stages of the 1968 Tour de France and for three stages in 1973.[1] He won a record seven editions of the marathon Bordeaux–Paris.

Van Springel died on 25 August 2022 in Grobbendonk, Belgium at the age of 79.[2]
