A pupil is a person who goes to school to learn something. Students can be teenagers or adults who are going to university, but it may also be other people who are learning, such as in college. A young person who cannot be classed as a student is called a pupil. Usually, students will learn from a teacher or a lecturer if at university. They also do much reading. Students can also be studying for a specific profession. If they study to be officers, they are cadets.
