Perennial shrub 30–60 cm high; stems much-branched, with short whitish, spreading to retrorse hairs. Leaves densely clustered in axils of stem leaves, linear or filiform, 3–10 mm long, 0.5–1 mm wide, ±obtuse, finely pubescent or ± glabrous. Flowers numerous, in terminal corymbs 2–6 cm diam.; bracts 1–2 mm long, broadly oblong. Calyx c. 1 mm long; lobes generally longer than tube. Corolla white, 2–3 mm long, tube oblong, 1–2 mm long, lobes unequal, as long as or shorter than the tube. Fruit ±ovoid, c. 1 mm long. Recorded flowering in Victoria in September.
Naturalised in NSW. Native to South Africa. Collected a few times in Bairnsdale between 1918 and 1923.
