New Zealand Women will play three One-Day Internationals against India after the ongoing Women’s T20 World Cup in the UAE, Cricbuzz reported on October 7 (Monday).
The three games, which will be part of the ICC Women's ODI Championship 2022-25, will be played in Ahmedabad on October 24, 27 and 29.
The White Ferns, who hammered Harmanpreet Kaur and Co. by 58 runs in their first game of the T20 World Cup, were supposed to travel to India last year but the series had to be postponed due to India’s busy schedule.
New Zealand are currently sixth in the 10-team Women's ODI Championship table. They must finish in the top six to automatically qualify for the 2025 Women's Cricket World Cup. India, who will host the 50-over showpiece event, have automatic qualification.
With the series happening in the last week of October, some of the players from both sides will miss the first few games of the Women’s Big Bash League, which will get underway on October 27.
