Saudi Arabia giga-project Amaala reveals first hotel: Clinique La Prairie
Scheduled for Mid 202452 RoomsHotel website
Saudi Arabia's Amaala giga-project has revealed the first of its 25 hotels. In keeping with the destination's focus on wellness, Clinique La Prairie Health Resort houses everything from a diagnostic lab and neuroscience facilities to a beach club and luxury villas.
The resort will have 52 rooms and suites and 13 villas, spread over 36,115 sq m. Looking to push wellness tourism to the next level, Amaala's first hotel promises "longevity wellness." This means the space will focus on medical care, nutrition, movement and well-being, with facilities centred at the Longevity Plaza.
Alongside the diagnostic lab and museum, there will be facilities for preventative medicine, genetics and epigenetics, and a fully-fledged team versed in treatments for fatigue, anxiety, digestive disorders, insomnia, diabetes and more.
There will be spaces for radiology as well, along with neuroscience, physio and aesthetic medicine. The resort will run on 100 percent renewable energy, according to plans.
What is AMAALA?
The first phase of development is set for completion by mid-2024 and will consist of six hotels and roughly 1,000 hotel keys. When complete in 2027, it will offer approximately 3,000 hotel rooms in around 25 hotels as well as 200 high-end retail establishments, fine dining, wellness, and recreational facilities, set across three unique communities: Triple Bay, The Coastal Development and The Island. It also includes a massive yacht club and a marine research centre. Much like the Red Sea Project, Amaala looks to run on entirely renewable energy sources. It also aims to operate with a zero-carbon footprint and sustainably source 50 percent of all food by 2030. A key difference between The Red Sea Project and Amaala is that the latter is focused more on wellness and health tourism.
