Everyone knows about Roger Corman's early drive-in pictures, his Vincent Price-Poe films as well as the producer credits from the 70s and 80s. What most people seem to forget or overlook is how he built a studio in Ireland and filmed a number of "B" movies there in the 1990s. This hour long documentary covers the history of this studio and it's eventual downfall.

Best of all is that we've got Corman interviewed so we get to hear directly from him why he decided to build this studio and what he hoped to accomplish from it. We've also got people connected to the studio that are interviewed here and this is where some of the funnest stuff comes from. We get to hear people who pretty much had never worked on a film and they just applied, got small positions and then quickly rose to where they were doing bigger and more important jobs.

The great thing about this documentary is that it talks about a subject that there really hasn't been any other document on. I mean, so much of Corman's career has been covered so it's great to see the spotlight shine on this era. Even better is that the film does a remarkable job at fully explaining the various behind-the- scenes issues with this company, the location and the eventual problems that would come from a certain film (CRIMINAL AFFAIRS) just being "too much" for Ireland.

The interviews are certainly great as is the story so this one here is certainly something fans of Corman are going to love.
