Sobriety fail: Drunk rehab manager assaults addicts seeking help at Surat center

The fiancée of an Army officer, who was allegedly sexually assaulted at Bhubaneswar's Bharatpur police station, has shared chilling details of the alleged incident. The incident happened when they had gone to lodge a complaint against miscreants who had waylaid them when they were returning home in Bhubaneswar on September 14. Narrating her harrowing experience to the media, the woman said she was repeatedly kicked on her chest before a police inspector assaulted and also flashed her. After the incident, the Crime Branch of the Odisha Police has registered a case in connection with the matter and launched a probe.

The woman cried for help but was only discovered when a neighbour heard her screams and alerted authorities.

The shop owner discovered the theft after a neighbour called him in the morning to report the break-in.
