The steel industry will need to work together and create partnerships to enable the transformation and adaptation of society to reach carbon neutrality and to ensure steel is valued as a major foundation of a sustainable world. Our upcoming Environment Committee (ECO) meeting will be in Jakarta, Indonesia. It will provide a platform to bring together steel industry experts and leads in environment and sustainability fields to discuss the pressing issues and topics of the day. Indonesia was ranked the fourteenth largest steel producer in the world in 2023, and It is important for our industry to understand and build relationships in the region.
