This one’s for the young hearts, the old hearts, and the broken hearts. Studded with lo-fi covers of classic breakup songs, you’ll want to cry, you’ll want to laugh. Welcome to the Heartbreak Hotel.
This one is for the young hearts, the old hearts, and the broken hearts.
Studded with lo-fi covers of classic breakup songs, Heartbreak Hotel explores a phenomenon we’ve all experienced and found a way to get through: heartbreak. In an exhilarating new performance that brings together vulnerable memoir, famous novels and scientific text, a holistic picture of heartbreak's impact on our bodies and minds is hilariously and poignantly shared.
Featuring Karin McCracken, Heartbreak Hotel tracks a woman’s journey through the travails of a broken heart, and all the way through to the other side. We meet a carousel of people in her life during various stages of her grief (with all of the ex-loves played by the incomparable Simon Leary); an awkward tinder date, some wild confusion at the supermarket, and various (and sometimes high spirited) attempts at fresh starts.
Heartbreak Hotel is a new work from creative partnership Eleanor Bishop and Karin McCracken, winners of the 2022 Bruce Mason Award. Enjoy a generous, funny and reflective show that explores the benefits of letting ourselves truly feel something: the good, the bad and the heartbreaking. You’ll want to cry. You’ll want to laugh. Welcome to the Heartbreak Hotel.

Les and Fleur are a middle-aged couple at the end of their tether. Francis and Connie are newly-weds terrified of getting it on. They’ve double booked a romantic getaway at a kiwi bach in the middle of nowhere, but we’re not sure which is raging harder - the storm outside, or the hormones inside!
Chopper is back, and he's working on a brand new hour of comedy.
He's on trial. Well, all his new jokes for his 2025 upcoming tour are. Will he hit levels of f**k yeah or f**k off? You are the judge, jury and executioner.
Fabulous, filthy, hilarious! Wild ride of side-splitting laughter with the Queen of Sass. Laugh-out-loud adventures of parenting, dating, and female life!
