Hollywood lit up Tuesday night as the winners, nominees and voters of the 2020 Queerties celebrated at Liason, honoring the queer community’s brightest stars. Celebrities, social media mavens and journalists converged on the Los Angeles venue to mingle, enjoy a SKYY Vodka cocktail, and honor the best in LGBTQ media and entertainment.
The awards ceremony included a special appearance by Kathy Griffin and Muna brought the house down with a performance.
With over 1 million votes cast by Queerty readers, give a hand to the winners of this year’s Queerties…

OhHellNo
All hail Katya. (The fact that there’s a goodlooking, funny guy under the makeup is a plus.)
jayceecook
Rigged!
Wolfie
Why? Because the people you voted for didn’t win? That’s life get over youself
jayceecook
@Wolfie Actually this is the first year that I had more than 1 pick win. 7 total this time around. But some winners here are suspect at best and possible publicity stunts at worst. THAT’S life. Now go kindly eff yourself with a working chainsaw.
Cam
Provide details on what you mean, otherwise your comment is just trolling.
jayceecook
@Cam I don’t have to provide you with shite. You’re not my parent or the authorities.
Having serious doubts about a few of the winners is my opinion. Having an opinion isn’t trolling (a word you don’t seem to fully understand the definition of). Opinions are not facts. They don’t need to be backed up, peer reviewed, and given the thumbs up by the majority to be valid. They can be superfluous or prudent and everything in between. Agree, disagree, be ambivalent, and move on.
Bless him but I’m Donston. I don’t feel the need to type out mini dissertations on everything I comment on here. (The irony of the length of this comment is not lost on me) Queerty is frivolity at its finest. It’s the drunk aunt or uncle at the family reunion who spouts some of the most inane, discombobulated, and possibly distasteful drivel you’re likely to hear until the next reunion. Yet you still invite and listen to them drone on because they might get a chuckle or two out of you. So I responded here the same way I would respond to them; as scant and lax as possible.
Now move along and go back to your self appointed post as the site’s right-wing comment sniffer mutt.
Cam
@jayceecook
A whole bunch of words, but all they say is, you can’t defend your original comment. You can’t point out who you think didn’t deserve it or why you think it was rigged.
In other words…..troll.
Don’t throw a tantrum because you got called out on it.
jayceecook
@Cam Actually I can defend my original comment. I could say which categories, who I think should have won, and why I think who “won” did. I just *won’t* because it’s you.
I ?? don’t ?? like ?? you ?? PEROIDT ??.
Who’s throwing a tantrum? You think that’s a tantrum? Gorl. Like the word troll you don’t even know what a tantrum is.
Speaking of troll. Let me clear it up for you. A troll “is a person who starts quarrels or upsets people on the Internet to distract and sow discord by posting inflammatory and digressive, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the intent of provoking readers into displaying emotional responses and normalizing tangential discussion, whether for the troll’s amusement or a specific gain.”
My one word original semiserious comment was hardly” inflammatory and digressive, extraneous, or off-topic”.
What’s actually funny but not funny is over the years I’ve been visiting this site I’ve seen you make comments with the intent of provoking readers into displaying emotional responses and normalizing tangential discussion. So pick up your hand mirror and take a good look at who the troll really is.

Deserving group of winners.
Kangol2
Congrats to all of them, and like jayceecook I had more correct picks (15) than I’d anticipated. Go figure.
DarkZephyr
I adore Lizzo, but what’s “queer” about “Juice”? Great song, but seems pretty hetero to me.
