Qiane Matata-Sipu (Te Waiohua ki Te Ahiwaru me Te Ākitai, Waikato, Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Pikiao, Cook Islands) is an award-winning journalist, photographer and visual artist. She is the creator of NUKU and author of 2022 Ockham NZ Book Awards shortlisted NUKU: Stories of 100 Indigenous Women. We look forward to hosting her in this year’s Te Hā stream of Verb Festival.
