自然リンパ球Innate lymphoid cells, ILC) とは共通のリンパ系前駆細胞(CLP)に由来する自然免疫系細胞である。病原性の組織損傷に反応してシグナル分子を分泌し、自然免疫細胞と獲得免疫細胞の両方を制御している。ILCは主に組織内に存在する細胞で、リンパ系組織(免疫関連組織)と非リンパ系組織の両方に存在し、まれに末梢血にも存在する。特に粘膜表面に多く局在し、粘膜の免疫と恒常性の維持に重要な役割を果たしている。リンパ球系に属する自然免疫細胞であるが、抗体特異的な応答はせず、B細胞、およびT細胞受容体を持たない(RAG遺伝子がないため)[1]。通常のリンパ系の形態を持たず、通常の骨髄系細胞や樹状細胞に見られる表現型マーカーを持つ[2]
