- At the moment, there are some schools with other schools as parts listed as exceptions of the single value constraint.
- With @M2k~dewiki, it was discussed that these schools shouldn't have multiple values, they should have no value.
- I propose
- to remove these school centers from the exception list
- to document which schools or even kinds of schools actually don't have this school ID
- examples: schools having parts, closed schools, music schools, folk high schools
- As a further consequence, I wonder whether the expected completeness of this property should be „always incomplete“ instead of „eventually complete“.
- Are there any comments on this? T. Wirbitzki (talk) 21:49, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
- Hello @T. Wirbitzki: how is the "state of completeness" relevant? How does this make a difference? Regardaring removing the exceptions I agree, they are not necessary, since every school should have exactly one ID. Regarding additional documentation, which objects do not have an ID I do not see the advantage. For which purpose would such a documentation helpful? M2k~dewiki (talk) 22:37, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
- You are right, this discussion here documents the process of loading the school IDs from WP sufficiently, to answer the question why loading of the harvest template will necessarily list some constraint violations, even if all possible school IDs were imported. Regarding the expected completeness: I don't know the relevance of the value, so the value is ok for me.
- I will remove the school centers from the single value constraint exceptions as long as they contain schools. However, there is an example of a bundled school Bischöfliche Clara-Fey-Schule (Q51830042) which instantiates two school types. T. Wirbitzki (talk) 23:32, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
- I've erased all cases of schools with multiple school numbers by letting them having parts with a school number, e.g. Bischöfliche Clara-Fey-Schule (Q51830042).
- About 13 cases in actual NRW Wikidata are real school centers or constructs of several schools at one place operated by the same institution, similar to a school center.
- 5 cases like e.g. Georg-Müller-Schulen Bielefeld (Q1503426) are associated schools of one operator, split into several locations, some of these associations having only one published school number for two schools, e.g. Erzbischöfliches Berufskolleg Neuss (Q1363868).
