Motivation
Cars are generally classified by model year, different from the actual year of production. I'm pinging the two active projects in the field and the persons who participated in a related discussion on project chat.

- Oppose use inception (P571) on the item about the model. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 18:55, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
- Comment. I'm not sure about this one as we have date of commercialization (P5204) too. Thierry Caro (talk) 09:48, 2 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Thierry Caro: I think P5204 would probably be better on items for models than P571. This property would have item datatype and be applied to items for specific model years. I doubt the two are strictly equivalent (sample list).
