- Support I think then it would be possible to have as a set of properties: seismometer (Q160567) measures (P2575) ground motion (Q11424730), seismogram (Q510375) captured with (P4082) seismometer (Q160567), seismogram (Q510375) RECORD-OF ground motion (Q11424730)? --Dhx1 (talk) 03:47, 2 January 2023 (UTC)
- Wait I would prefer "is record of" as the name. I also imagine that the description will be hard to understand for many users. ChristianKl ❪✉❫ 21:45, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
- @ChristianKl Umm we don't use "is" for other properties though. "is part of", "is color", "is child of"? If you come up with a better description though, I'll change it. Lectrician1 (talk) 22:34, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
- Words are used because they have meaning. A color is an attribute of an item. The item isn't the color it has the color. On the other hand the relations between record photograph and light feels different to me. ChristianKl ❪✉❫ 17:13, 8 January 2023 (UTC)
- @ChristianKl I get what you mean, but we don't do that for other properties that define the class of the object. "is release of" or "is edition/translation of"? I don't want to start a trend where we put "is" for these types of properties and then we have to explain to people (likely newcomers) why they have "is" and other properties don't. I also personally don't want to type in "is record of" or "is a record of" when I'm searching for this property. Keeping it short is nice. Lectrician1 (talk) 04:08, 9 January 2023 (UTC)
- @ChristianKl would you support if I change it to "is record of"? Lectrician1 (talk) 04:48, 16 March 2023 (UTC)
- @ChristianKl Any response? Lectrician1 (talk) 16:58, 28 March 2023 (UTC)

- Support I think the current name is fine, although simply "records" would work as well. BEANS X2 (talk) 08:25, 27 May 2023 (UTC)
