Motivation
[edit]Time allocation as a property will be used to specify the total amount of hours that is spent on a subject/course/module in a specific learning period (term/semester/trimester). It will be determined by multiplying the hours per week by the sessions per week and the number of weeks in the learning period (term/semester/trimester) as per the example above. Time allocation will serve as an indicator for the hours per week and sessions per week for teaching the subject. Visit the data model document WD4E Data Model Document v1.0 to understand the data model and why we are requesting for these properties. Dnshitobu (talk) 12:36, 19 July 2022 (UTC)
Discussion
[edit]- Question I don't understand well how this property is related to sessions/week and hours/week. Could you provide more examples? --Tinker Bell ★ ♥ 19:20, 25 April 2022 (UTC)

- This is better now. Do you plan to create items for every school subject (Q362165) in every curriculum in every country in the world? If yes, then do those items meet Wikidata:Notability? If no, then how many item already exist? 2A01:CB14:D52:1200:8054:85E8:3398:AFF1 17:36, 30 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for your review, we are working on this project with UNESCO, National Council for Curriculum and Assessment is the statutory body mandated to develop and implement educational policies in Ghana (NaCCA), and International Bureau of Education. Right now we are working on a pilot project by structuring Ghana's curriculum on Wikidata, in the future we are planning to scale this project with the help of UNESCO, IBE, and Ministry of Education in other countries. The data are notable as the curriculum documents and ISCED documents are published by the Governments bodies like the NaCCA and UNESCO ISCED classification. - Comment I would suggest reusing duration (P2047) as this is modeled with an qualifier anyway. Abbe98 (talk) 14:25, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Abbe98 Thank you for taking time to review our request. We have had some discussions with the advisory and we are no longer going forward with this request. We truly appreciate the comments because it has helped shaped the project for good. Dnshitobu (talk) 23:17, 24 September 2022 (UTC)
