Dich grüßt LigaDue (talk) 22:06, 27 May 2019 (UTC)
Adelfrank (talk) 12:31, 28 May 2019 (UTC)
Grüße, LigaDue (talk) 21:30, 28 May 2019 (UTC)
Standard building categories
editHi Adelfrank! Thanks for all your good work. For categories like "Frescos of Cathedral (Matera)" we normally use the preposition "in", like "Frescos in the Cathedral (Matera)". See for instance Category:Frescos in Santa Maria del Fiore (Florence) or Category:Paintings in Madonna dell'Orto (Venice). Same preposition "in" also for paintings and sculptures. I see you are doing many many new categories, so please try to apply a common standard. Thank you. --Sailko (talk) 11:28, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
- Hi @Sailko: , "Paintings in", I always take this. My mention is, you can change the place and put a painting in another place (church, museum ...) - But the most frescos are for ever a part of the building. But it's no problem to change from "Frescos of" to "Frescos in" - The problem is, I can not see a standard. It is different between many places. The most (I think) put it on the end, like these:
Category:Cathedral (Albenga) - Frescos; Category:Madonna della Pace (Albisola Superiore) - Frescos; Category:Pieve di Lemine - Frescos; Category:Santa Maria del Carmine (Florence) - Cloister - Frescos
What do you prefer, as standard "Frescos in Cathedral (Matera)" or "Cathedral (Matera) - Frescos" ? Or what you write above as standard: "Frescos in the Cathedral (Matera)" Adelfrank (talk) 13:36, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
- Hello! I agree there is at least 2 standards. I have no preference, just "of" I have never heard before, and I was told when I was a beginner to use the preposition "in". The "-" is also ok for me. Thank you. --Sailko (talk) 14:28, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
Your removals
editHello Adel.
I am not very versed in how Wikipedia works so I may be making mistakes. I noticed that you consistently remove photos I have inserted onto wiki pages for composer Aaron Zigman, actor Bradley James and writer Samuel W. Gailey.
Each time I have added photos that I own the copyright of or I have personally taken at an event. The only one I did not take but the photographer gave me copyright license for is the one for Bradley James however when I tried to give credit to the author you denied it.
Please help me understand or remove your removal?
Very much appreciated,
Ayncg
- Hello Ayncg. File:Bradley james.jpg or File:Bradley James by Amanda Peixoto-Elkins.jpg is not your own work! - You need permissions. _ Here you can find all informations: Commons:Photographs of identifiable people (in different languages) - See also: Commons:Photographs of identifiable people/checklist. Deletion Nomination.
editHi There,
I hope you are well.
You have nominated my photo (Rob Locke.jpg) to be deleted for possible copyright infringement.
I own this image. It is of me. I am an actor and it is my professional headshot, which I am free to use as I wish.
I see that the photographer, Peter Adams, automatically included his information in the meta data, but I own the copyright.
Please can you advise what I need to do to stop my image from being deleted?
Thank you for your help.
Rob Locke www.roblocke.com www.imdb.me/roblocke

Deletion marked
editHello there I got a notification that you have marked a photo uploaded by me (Shivraj actor.jpg) for express deletion. Allow me to explain.
I am a new user on Wikipedia and I try my best to enrich the content by adding relevant, useful and authentic information on the wiki pages.
This photo was taken by myself, is of the hindi film actor Shivraj, who has acted in several hindi movies from 60s, 70s.. His photo was missing on the wiki page and therefore I uploaded and added it. It helps the wikipedia users to know about him and his identity.
Hence, request you to not to delete the photo.
Thank you, Diiigo Diiigo (talk) 02:13, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

Deletion Nomination
editHello,
I hope you are well. You have nominated my photo (Ruby Barker.jpg) to be deleted for possible copyright infringement. Ruby owns this image as it is of her and she sent it to me. She is an actor and it is her professional headshot, which she has paid for and is free to use as she wishes.
I have named the photographer, Steve Piper, but Ruby owns the copyright and has given me permission to use it on Wikipedia.
Please can you advise what I need to do to stop my image from being deleted?
Thank you for your help.
Erin

Category:Louise Bénédicte de Bourbon-Condé -> Category:Louise Bénédicte de Bourbon
editHello, sorry I don't speak German, but I thought I'd make you aware that you moved the category to the wrong name. Her full name was A L B de Bourbon, yes but she signed simply as Louise Bénédicte as you can see from the signature by her own hand in her category. Could you move it back to the previous and correct name at all please? Thanks 51.6.94.200 15:53, 16 March 2021 (UTC)
