Comment As I understand it there is no clear concensus. Per Commons:Village_pump/Copyright/Archive/2021/01#Commons:Deletion_requests/Files_in_Category:An-Nur_Great_Mosque_should_be_focused_by_professors_in_this_grey_area it seems that the law is made so that "... posting such works here is perfectly legal (until an objection is raised, at which point they would be illegal).". @JWilz12345 Yeah but only because someone start a DR. There would be no problem if users just left the files alone. If someone think their copyright is violated the can ask for deletion. @Amelia guo permission from the copyright holder (heirs or estate of the sculptors) must be explicit, through an email sent to Wikimedia via COM:VRTS process. Permission that explicitly releases this monument in public domain and any image of it can be exploited in any manner, especially commercial purposes. Comment My opinion don't delete all pictures, just keep some pictures like File:Jakarta Indonesia National-Monument-02.jpg or File:Merdeka Square Monas 02.jpg. Because it is an image of competence and an extract from the previous image. and also others pictures like File:Collectie NMvWereldculturen, TM-20023589, Dia, 'De Istiqlal moskee', fotograaf Paul Romijn, 02-1993 - 03-1993.jpg and File:Masjid Istiqlal Jakarta exterior view 12.jpg not deleted for a long time.

Comment majority of these files were nominated by me before at Commons:Deletion requests/Files in Category:Monas, but were kept because of claims that structures owned by the Indonesian state or government are "free to use". Italy be-like? And yeah, it is very noticeable that Indonesian and Italian Wikimedians are similar with respect to using established loopholes in their copyright laws instead of trying to lobby for FoP introduction. Agree with you, I hope not all images in Category:Monumen Nasional are deleted. Because there are several images (as the link mentioned) that have passed copyright use permission.
