Picture of the Year 2013 R1 Announcement
[edit]File:Quatrefoil-Architectural-Square.png
[edit]The Rotate template is for things ascertainably at a wrong angle, which is not the case with this image.... AnonMoos (talk) 09:12, 10 July 2019 (UTC)
- Understood, but the quatrefoil is can be/has been used in both orientations and we already have one the other way. It seems like a waste to upload a new version for the other orientation when we have a second here already that can be used instead. AmateurEditor (talk) 01:49, 11 July 2019 (UTC)
- The PNG was originally uploaded at a time when SVG files were still kind of getting some bugs worked out on Commons. It could be considered semi-redundant by now, but it still should be left sync'ed up with the SVG; it's not a test image to be experimented with (and such experimentation might be in violation of COM:OVERWRITE). Wikimedia Commons is really not suffering a disk-space shortage -- uploading one typical video file consumes far more disk space than uploading hundreds of small geometric PNG or SVG images... - I uploaded a rotated version here. I don't edit images or upload them often, so please let me know if I messed something up. AmateurEditor (talk) 05:29, 18 July 2019 (UTC)
- There was nothing actually wrong with your image, but it would be better to have even margins on all sides (i.e. square aspect ratio). AnonMoos (talk) 18:31, 18 July 2019 (UTC)
- That looks great! Thank you, AnonMoos! AmateurEditor (talk) 01:27, 19 July 2019 (UTC)
