- Hi Locke Cole; I saw your note at User talk:Jeff G.. Please don't reload Image:NYC subway simplified map.png without a verifiable license that is valid on Commons. The file was deleted by User:Polarlys.[1] You can request a review of the deletion by posting at Commons:Undeletion_requests. Walter Siegmund (talk) 04:49, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
Image deletion warning | Image:Sea Beach Line 1.gif has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. If the file is up for deletion because it has been superseded by a superior derivative of your work, consider the notion that although the file may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new file. |

Why do you want to keep your files on enwiki local and not deleted?
[edit]I personally think that all of your uploads on enwiki should have the {{keeplocal}} template removed, because you don't provide any valid reason to do so. Calvinkulit (talk) 07:58, 25 September 2019 (UTC)
- I'm eternally grateful it's not your decision about what is and isn't a valid reason. —Locke Cole • t • c 05:19, 26 September 2019 (UTC)

Regarding local files
[edit]I have exported one of your files using FileExporter (which copies revisions from the local copy, basically everything excluding redundant templates), so I guess the local copy isn't needed anymore. You don't need to worry about content being lost anymore. Calvinkulit • t • c 09:22, 5 October 2019 (UTC)
- Try FileExporter on a Copy to Commons file on enwiki, and you will see what it does. Calvinkulit • t • c 09:37, 5 October 2019 (UTC)
- Calvinkulit are you really expecting hugs and kisses from Locke for this? - Alexis Jazz ping plz 14:59, 5 October 2019 (UTC)
- @Alexis Jazz: No. I am just informing him about FileExporter. Calvinkulit • t • c 16:15, 5 October 2019 (UTC)

File:Buffalo Wild Wings (logo, vertical).svg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.)

File:The Daily Beast (logo).svg has been marked for speedy deletion. (Reason: Cross-wiki upload broke, uploading only the file description page. I'd like this to be deleted so that I can upload the file with proper attribution history to this url.)
Why not upload a picture of a plant, animal, or anything else which fits into our scope. You can contribute any media type you want, including but not limited to images, videos, music, and 3D models. Start uploading now! If you don't have anything to upload at the moment, why not take a look at our best images or best videos, sounds and 3D models. If you have any doubts/questions don't hesitate to visit our help desk. |

- I've changed that to an indef-block as a result of their response to this block notice. Completely unacceptable behavior. Have fun too. Bedivere (talk) 01:33, 12 August 2024 (UTC)
- You wanna change that block log entry to reflect that I didn't make legal threats? There's a difference between realizing users here are fucking clueless about attribution and attempting to discuss it with someone who has some clue on the topic and telling you I'm going to sue you. I'm doing the former, not the latter. —Locke Cole • t • c 06:50, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
- If you think you should be unblock, please read Commons:Blocking_policy#Appealing_a_block and use {{Unblock}}. Further abuse of your talk page will only result in revocation of talk page access. —Matrix(!) {user - talk? -
