Picture of the Year 2013 R2 Announcement

[edit]

Round 2 of Picture of the Year 2013 is open!

[edit]
2012 Picture of the Year: A pair of European Bee-eaters in Ariège, France.

Dear Wikimedians,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2013 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the eighth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2013) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. The top 30 overall and the most popular image in each category have continued to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just one image to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 2 will end on 7 March 2014. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Commons:Picture_of_the_Year/2013/Introduction/en Click here to learn more and vote »]

SVG-Wappen

[edit]

Siehe dir doch mal de:Wikipedia:WikiProjekt Wappen/Neuzeichnen.

Viele Grüße--Marcel Rogge (talk) 21:29, 3 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Ups* berechtige Frage, ich hatte die falsche Category verlinkt, tatsächlich meinte ich Category:Coats of arms by Karl-Heinz Steinbruch, dieses Schild ist scheinbar das tatsächliche das von Karl-Heinz Steinbruch benutzte.
@Inkscape-SVG: Was meinst du genau damit?
LG
User: Perhelion (Commons: = crap?)  22:43, 3 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

File:Zarrentin-Wappen1.svg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Your edit on File:Canon EOS M5 front-left 2017 CP+.jpg was not correct and thats why I reverted it. It's actually the EF-M 18–150 mm lens that does not have a category yet and since there is only one image so far I don't think it really justifies it's own category right now.
How to know:

  • When you compare the imges of the EF-M 18-55mm and the EF-M 18-150mm you see that the length of the crosshatch does only fit the larger one. You can also see the little marking after the "18" that only has the EF-M 18-150mm lens.
  • At the front of the lens you can see that the filter size of in the lens in the image is 55mm
    • The EF-M 18-55mm has 52 millimeter
    • The EF-M 18-150mm has 55 millimeter

The EF-M 18-55mm and the EF-M 18-150mm are the only lenses by Canon with the EF-M lens mount that start at focal length 18.
Thereby it's impossible that the lens is anything but the EF-M 18-150mm. It took some good time to figure this out myself before I moved the image into Canon EF-M lenses. Just so you know.

After seraching on Commons if we may have some more images that would justify a category I noticed that the image literally has the caption "キヤノン EOS M5 + EF-M18-150mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM". Well, could have been easier here...
I noticed that Canon EF-M 11-22mm F4-5.6 IS STM and Canon EF-M 55-200mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM also have only one file in them, but they have at least one other category sorted in them. I'm still searching for images, but I can't find any that could be sorted in Taken with Canon Canon EF-M 18–150mm F3.5–6.3 IS STM
--D-Kuru (talk) 16:10, 20 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
After searching more images I actually found three images of this lens that were just sorted into the wrong category. ... By YOU
Please be more careful and select the correct category!

Thank you for your corrections. I promise to be more careful.--Marcel Rogge (talk) 19:27, 20 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Kreien hat jetzt Wappen und Flagge

[edit]

Viele Grüße --Marcel Rogge (talk) 14:35, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sigma lens images

[edit]

Hi Marcel,

I just took and uploaded the two images you asked for of my Sigma lenses. They are a little dirty/banged up (because I use them!), so feel free to doctor the images if you wish and are able to clean them realistically to produce a more "mint" lens image (I would have no problem with this).

Hope this helps! I have a few other lenses that I don't believe have photographs here (such as the Voigtländer 10mm f/5.6, and some other Sigma and Canon lenses) which I could also add in the future if that helps out. D. Benjamin Miller (talk) 11:37, 1 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
