Hello XHBNx, if you upload images, you should always put your uploads into categories and/or gallery pages according to topic, so your contributions can be found and used by others. Please see the link for instructions how to categorize your images. Thank you. --GeorgHH 09:27, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
Hello, and thank your for sharing your files with Commons. There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. Please remember that all uploads require source, author and license information. Could you please resolve these problems, which are described on the page linked in above? Thank you. --Siebrand 17:26, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
Image deletion warning | Image:Frederikdenmark1753.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. If the file is up for deletion because it has been superseded by a superior derivative of your work, consider the notion that although the file may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new file. |

There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful informations about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

Tip: Categorizing images
[edit]
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.
[[Category:Category name]]
For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:
[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]
This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.BotMultichillT 05:22, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

Was he really related to en:Mszczonów (your diff: [1]) ? I reverted this diff but maybe I'm wrong. NVO (talk) 22:45, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
- Used CommonSense for the categorys, think too that there was something wrong. Regards --XHBNx (talk) 17:59, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
Hello. You did upload the image as linked above. How comes you know that this is Friedrich von Sachsen (1504-1539)? This image is from the Musée de la Ville in Reims and is described in plenty of literature:
- Rosenberg in Berl. Jahrb. 55, 1934 S. 188 Abb. 5
- Theo Ludwig Girshausen: Die Handzeichnungen Lucas Cranachs d.Ä., Diss. Frankfurt a. M. 1936/37. Kat. Nr. 92
- A Loan Exhibition of Fifteen Portrait Drawings from the Museum of Rheims, organized by the Knoedler Galleries. 1951. Nr. 8
- Jakob Rosenberg: Die Zeichnungen Lucas Cranachs d.Ä., in: Denkmäler Deutscher Kunst, herausgegeben vom Deutschen Verein für Kunstwissenschaft, Berlin 1960. S. 32 Nr. 89
Both Girshausen and Rosenberg state, that the drawing looks similar to a portrait of Friedrich by monogrammst I.S. in Gotha, but they also say clear, that the similarity between both pictures does not allow to identify the shown person as Friedrich. So both Rosenberg and Girshausen (the two standard indexes for drawings of Cranach the elder) list the drawing as "Bildnis eines Unbekannten" (portrait of an unknown person).
I don't think that the webpage you got the picture from is a reliable source for identfying art of national value. So please bring a reliable source for the identification of Friedrich or i will remove the information, because i have the four references as above that this picture does not neccessarily show Friedrich.

Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called XHBNx. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name XHBNx~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
